Creating and maintaining a safer school environment is the primary goal of every SRO…but how exactly should law enforcement prepare for a challenge of that magnitude?

The Ohio School Resource Officers Association is hosting this five-day basic training for SRO’s to equip themselves with the information and skills they need to identify, address and prevent crime and violence in Ohio schools.

The 36-hour class curriculum will cover every major responsibility and aspect of SRO’s, as well as Ohio School Laws, Crime Prevention Initiatives for Youth, and Local, State and Federal Resources. 

Certificates will be distributed to students who successfully attend all sessions and  complete course exercises.

  • Current S.R.O.’s

Presenters
Presenters are certified Ohio School Resource Officers and will instruct from the Ohio S.R.O. Approved Curriculum.

Agenda: Monday - Friday:
7:00 – 8:00 a.m.          Breakfast (in cafeteria)
8:00 – 11:30 a.m.        Morning sessions
11:30 – 12:30 p.m.      Lunch (in cafeteria)
12:30 – 5:00 p.m.        Afternoon sessions (1pm dismissal on Friday)
5:00 – 6:00 p.m.          Dinner (in cafeteria)

Location:
Directions to the training site will be provided in a confirmation letter that will be sent upon acceptance to the training.

Cost:
Registration is $350.  Fee includes materials, meals and lodging during the workshop and also includes one year complimentary OSROA membership. Cancellations must be made 72 business hours prior to the seminar date.
